Hello! Welcome to the site!

Sigiriya rock
This site is run by the Association for Dambulla-Sigiriya Tourism Promotion, an experimental committee consisting of both governmental and private organizations interested in promoting tourism in the Dambulla DS area.
The Dambulla DS (DS stands for an administrative unit, the 'Divisional Secretariat') contains two of the six UNESCO world cultural heritage sites in Sri Lanka, the Ancient City of Sigiriya, and the Dambulla Cave Temple. Tourists from all over the world visit us in Dambulla DS each year.

This site is for those who have already visited, for those planning their visit, and also, for those who are not even sure if they will ever set foot in Dambulla DS! This site provides you with comprehensive information about Dambulla DS, in the hopes that your visit here with us (whenever that will be) will be more enjoyable and fulfilling as a result of such information.

As explained in another page, About Us, it is a part of a tourism promotion project. Some pages are still under construction, but as the project progresses, we will upload more information.

Information here is also available at the Information Centre of the Sigiriya Museum.
